'A Christmas Wish Bookmark Competition', held by The Square Shopping Centre and supported by The Sale Town Partnership

As part of the Christmas festivities held at The Square 'A Christmas Wish Bookmark Competition' was held between the 20th November and 11th December 2009 (supported by The Sale Town Partnership).

18 local schools participated in the event, where entrants had to create their own bookmark design together with a Christmas Wish. There were six categories in the competition; Reception, Primary 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 (5 & 6 judged as one category). The Shopping Centre was inundated with entries making it extremely hard to pick the winners!

The winners for the competition are as follows:

Bookmark Design - Kyle Kellsall-Ward (Year 4), Firs Primary
Christmas Wish - Freya Steeley (Year 4), St Mary's
Christmas Wish - Nyah (Year 4), Brooklands Primary

Bookmark Design - Melissa Gildea (Year 6), Firs Primary
Bookmark Design - Samuel Phillips (Year 5), Worthington Road
Christmas Wish - Stevieleigh Day (Year 6), Moorlands Primary

The lucky winners will have the bookmark design and wish made into a professionally made bookmark which has been distributed to each of the participating schools.

Fae Taylor-Manning was thrilled that her bookmark had been produced for distribution to all of the participating schools, Fae's mum said seeing it in print was even better than the prize Fae received and thought the concept was brillaint.
